2014 Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Conference

The 63rd Annual Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Conference will be held September 24-25, 2014 at the Spokane Convention Center.

We are currently developing the agenda as well as securing speakers and demonstrations.  As always, you can expect an exciting event with lots of opportunities to increase your knowledge in workplace safety through training and updates in today’s technology.

Poletop Rescue Competition

The 41st Annual Poletop Rescue Competition will be held on Wednesday, September 24th, 3:30 pm at the Lilac Bowl, across from the Spokane Convention Center.  Watch the amazing skills of the contestants as they climb high up utility poles.  This contest simulates situations requiring critical rescue skills utility crews must master. more details…


Forklift Rodeo

The 17th Annual Forklift Rodeo Finals will be held on Wednesday, September 24th, 12:00 pm in the Exhibit Hall of the Spokane Convention Center.  Watch skilled forklift operators as they navigated a fun and challenging driving course that includes various tasks and hazards.  Drivers are evaluated on the safe, efficient, skillful and proper completion of the course using accepted forklift operation standards. more details…

Electrical High Voltage Demo

Gain an understanding of the dangers of electrical power at this demonstration presented throughout the day by Avista Corporation.  Demonstrations will occur throughout Wednesday and Thursday, September 24 & 25 at the       Lilac Bowl.  Please refer to your Conference Program for times.

Professional Certification Maintenance

ABIH has previously awarded CM credit for this event. The current event can be claimed for CM credit.

For BCSP, professional development conferences qualify for 0.6 points per day (6 hours or more).
