Part I. Event Registration Data Privacy
All personal information submitted for registration to events held by the Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Advisory Board are processed through a 3rd party software platform that provides personal data protection.
Part II. Credit Card Data Security
All credit card transactions processed through our etouches registration platform or offline from phone or paper form transactions can be completed with confidence. We have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to accept credit cards payments safely and securely for our customers.
The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through credit card processing networks. See an online payments diagram to see how it works. The company adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:
- 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.
- Industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.
- Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
The Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Advisory Board at www.wagovconf.org is registered with the Authorize.Net Verified Merchant Seal program.
Part III. Information Collection and Usage
Governor’s Industrial Safety & Health Advisory Board and Conference Web site collects information through our Web site at several points. When you access non-secure sites, no information that identifies you personally is automatically collected. As with any web site, site management and system administrative information can be collected each time you visit, including:
- The date and time you visited;
- The name of the domain you used to access the Internet (such as companyxxx.com, aol.com, universityxxx.edu, etc.) and the IP address from which you access our Site;
- The pages you visited;
- The type of browser and operating system used to access our Site;

This information is used for statistical purposes and to help us make our Site more useful — to learn about the number of users to our Site, which information is most useful to them, and the types of technology our users employ.
You do not have to give us Personal Information to visit our web site.
If you choose to provide us with Personal Information about yourself through an e-mail message, form, survey, etc., we will only maintain the information as long as needed to respond to your question or to fulfill the stated purpose of the communication.
Any Personal Information provided by or collected from you will not be given to any private organization, or otherwise sold or made available for commercial purposes.This web site is a general audience site, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. Users are cautioned that the collection of personal information requested from or volunteered by those persons under 18 years of age online or by e-mail will be treated the same as information given by an adult and may be subject to public access.
We may sometimes employ the use of “Cookies” in order to make the use of our web site easier for our users, and to track site usage and statistics. A cookie is a small text file that our Web server places on a user’s computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. Cookies enable the Governor’s Industrial Safety & Health Conference to track usage patterns.
Part IV. Access to Information
Users may also have their personal information removed from our mailing list database by requesting in writing to the address below, or via e-mail that their information be either updated or removed. Such requests will be dealt with within 30 days and a notification of such sent to the requestor.
